Synopsis


In the ecommerce industry especially in the beauty products sector, brands pop in, day in and day out. Maintaining steady growth or even ensuring the sustainability of businesses is often at stake. The undying competition in the marketplace eventually withers away the distributor's confidence making the sales slower and attrition faster. Keeping their spirits high is often a daunting challenge for organizations.

Problem


A direct selling beauty and personal care product manufacturer approached us with the unique challenge of revitalizing their sales commission model to aid distributor growth. Even with a well-performing compensation plan, distributors were dismembered. In order to bring them together and drive performance they needed a platform that engages and influences their distributors at the same time.

In a deeper analysis, we also identified that their commission disbursement system was inadequate to manage growing distributor numbers. Our sole aim was to develop a system designed exclusively for distributors—improve engagement, upgrade their skills and boost their productivity.

There was a dire need for the organization to have a 360-degree view of the business, making it easier for them to track performance and derive actionable insights to make better business decisions.

Solution


Designing a platform that promises growth for distributors and the business alike, called for a complete improvement of the platform. The user experience team at Epixel redesigned the UI to offer a simple, attractive, and easier navigation for users within the platform. This gave users an intuitive user experience resulting in an increase in engagement rate.

Rank advancement system


We developed a rank advancement system to ensure that the distributors stay inspired and active through their sales process. The new model was programmed to automatically promote distributors to new ranks based on specific criteria. Admin can customize the criteria or set new easily achievable goals to inspire distributors to earn more. The system has a leaderboard that displays the achievements of a day, week, or month. It also displays individual distributor status on their dashboard for them to preview their performance.

Sales commission system


Newly implemented sales commission model optimizes the compensation plan to deliver maximum benefits for the distributor while completely eliminating overpayments. This self-configurable and simplified commission payout system guaranteed an accurate and transparent way to manage commissions and bonuses. Additionally, the commission forecasting feature allows distributors to calculate the commissions they would receive for each sales conversion. This motivates and encourages distributors to plan their sales schedule accordingly.

Team genealogy tree


Complete team overview and promising insights in one go. That’s how we designed the team genealogy tree. The whole team is laid out in a tree structure with every detail available at the hover of the mouse. It clearly outlines the sponsor, uplines, downlines, their achievements, and their basic profile.

Custom distributor dashboard


We intended on boosting the confidence of distributors by giving them an overview of their achievements, earnings, and team strength. We accomplished this with an intuitive distributor dashboard that showcases their earnings, forecast earning predictions and points out to the reason for their downfalls.

This lets distributors have a clear understanding of their performance across different verticals—team, sales, and personal development. Customizable earning reports that can be directly downloaded from the dashboard lets distributors take a deeper look to analyze their earning history and set new milestones to target new achievements.

Smartened CRM


When we accepted their proposal to revamp their MLM platform, we also promised them smarter distributor teams. Building smarter teams without aligning the CRM was not possible. As a first step, we aligned the whole of the sales process right from lead generation with the CRM. This way distributors got a wider insight into the sales process.

The CRM was integrated with a live marketing module for distributors to launch and manage their promotional activities right from the platform.

Distributor learning management system


Adding flavor to our “smarter distributor team” promise, the distributor LMS was loaded with tools and sessions to upskill distributors in their brand journey. Admins can host live training and training events to encourage and inspire their distributors. They can also evaluate the learners and create personalized training sessions based on their skills or deficiencies.

The LMS model comparatively improved their course engagement and completion rates. Distributors can mark the courses as engaging, interesting, or useful. They can also view their course completion status and download certificates for each course completed.
