Hong Kong direct sales market trends 2023
According to the 2023 WFDSA report, direct sales customers in Hong Kong expressed their preference for shopping online rather than walking into a physical store for the convenience it offers and the opportunity to explore trending products. Hong Kong’s spending trends are inspired by its soft economy where customers spend on fewer or less expensive products.
2023 saw a steady fall in the number of preferred customers in Hong Kong to 83,000 from 95,000 in 2022. So was the number of independent representatives, which saw a 1% decline marking 233,000 representatives in 2023. However, number of active representatives totaled to 90,000 marking an 8% increase. The report also highlights that Hong Kong falls under the mid penetration category with a penetration of 0.094%.
